I stopped paying my credit cards and plan on filing for bankruptcy if I am served a summons.

If I pay back 100% of my debt under 5 years in a chapter 13 (worst case) it is @1,216 for 5 years, on my own it will take 13.6 years.

BoA can kiss my ass with their 19,99% rates. They don’t even call me even though I am over 60 days behind.

    what is her accent?

  14. skylarportland says:

Exactly. Even if you go through consumer credit counseling, your credit is still harmed almost as bad ( consumer credit is just a baby step up from bankruptcy ), BUT you’re having to pay a couple hundred $ usually, every month, and that mark still stays on your credit, which harms if you should need to finance a vehicle, home, etc.

Loans tend to use your debt/income ratio now, so filing bankruptcy loosens this ratio up, thereby increasing your loan options if you chose to.

  15. skylarportland says:

BoA probably already sent it to collections then. I have been paying a local attorney for over 3 yrs for a past BoA account–never late, and a yr ago, couldn’t get a loan on a car because of my debt/income ratio, and the fact I was paying an attorney and still owed more than $1000 on it–four separate dealers told me this.

My father filed bankruptcy 10 yrs ago, and 2 yrs later was later to finance a condo in southern Calif. FUCK all the credit card companies!!!! Don’t use them or the banks!!
